Coleman is a Lancashire native. She studied at Arnold School in Blackpool. She was a headgirl and earned straight A grades for her A-Levels. In the British Soap Awards of 2009 she received nominations in the categories Best Actress and Sexiest female and Best Dramatic Acting. Coleman was nominated for Best Actress at the TV Choice Awards. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion following the departure of Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and other actors have left the series. Moffat chose her for the role as she performed most effectively with Smith and could talk faster than Smith. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. She's been in the industry for over 30 years, and has been involved in a variety of TV and film projects. Her most popular role was on television. Eva has had many TV characters, however her roles as Dr. Maria Santos from All My Children as well as Detective Natalia Boavistas from CSI Miami have stood out. The latter earned Eva two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to express her creative side through music. In addition to being an actor, Eva is also a philanthropist as well as an entrepreneur. Eva is married three times and has a daughter with her second spouse.
